Day 20 - Wednesday
When I saw Tom Hanks in the movie Castaway, I had no idea how important one line of the screenplay would become so important in my life. He was rescued after years alone on a desert island and someone from home asked why he never killed himself. His response was "But you never know what the tide will bring." I am so grateful to have the life experience to know that hard times do pass and that we really never do know what awaits us just around the corner.
Today I'm grateful for my hubby! I'm so blessed to have him in my life, There’s nothing much I could ask for. Family is the most important thing to me and I cherish I get to spend with them making memories that I could keep forever. I am grateful for the compassion and generosity he shows me during the hard times, and for the fun we have when life is good. Looking forward to more good times is what's pulling me through the bad times. It is a blessing to have someone that will be there for you through the hard times. We all know that speaks volumes about the person you are with. But it is also a blessing to have someone who you can rejoice with. Who you can celebrate all the wonderful things that life presents you with.
There are times you just need to vent, and while it is great having girlfriends to talk to there is something wonderful about being able to vent to your best friend. Sometimes there are things that I am not quite ready to share or talk to anyone else about, and I take them to my best friend. She allows me to let it out and over time she has come to see that sometimes I am not looking for advice and instead just someone who is willing to listen. I’m thankful she’s that person who I can confide.
